    Default Rally Spots

Gonna be tackling something that I've never tried before (my Celica is full of firsts for me), I completely forgot I had a pair of Ring Rally Giants which I bought ages ago on a bit of a whim, but the driving lights are so sh*te, these might actually be more function than form anyways.

They're gonna be wing-mounted like the safari rally GT4 and I was hoping to hook them up to the main beams.

My question is, is there an easy way to do this? I understand I can't just T them into the main beam wiring as they'll sap a load of power from the driving lights and they'll all be dim as hell.

Can anyone help me out with the best way to do this? I have zero wiring experience so be kind and dumb it right down lol

    Cheers!

I can start you with the basics... However - having them switchable desperately may be a legal requirement (I can't recall exacts for MOT's).

    Worth checking first.

Switchable? As in not on all the time? I was planning so they'd only come on with the high beams.

    Yes exactly that.
I've not had time to look it up yet. However - you could wire it in so they are switchable when the high beam comes on. Allowing either high beam only or both

I'm sure someone can confirm if you can't find anything before me.

Yeah that'll be ideal. I'll have a poke about and see what wiring tips there are.

What you really want to do for power is to run a relay off of the high beam positive to a switchable direct battery hookup to the spots.
    Job done

Stole this Google - should help (uses low beam but you get what I mean)

Cheers Dave, looks simple enough. Will give it a bash! Need to get some brackets fabbed up or find some that'll do the job.

Just had a look on eBay and relays are cheap so will just need some wire and heat-shrink.
