    Default MOT Failure

    So my car failed its MOT today....on 13 items!!! That's a pretty spectacular fail!! Anyone else ever had one fail so bad?!

    Ok Jorah....
    offside rear fog lamp not working
    nearside rear registration plate lamp not working
    nearside rear coil spring not correctly located
    offside rear coil spring not correctly located
    nearside front lower (rear) suspension arm rubber bush bonding deteriorated resulting in excessive movement
    offside front tyre tread depth below requirements
    offside rear (inner wall) tyre has a tear
    nearside front seat belt affected by an insecure seat fixing
    offside front seat belt affected by an insecure seat fixing
    drivers seat insecure
    nearside front passengers seat insecure
    rear exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gas
    exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive
    Apart from that it's fine.....

    So apart from being poisoned by carbon monoxide, sitting in an unsecured seat with rubbish seatbelts , in a car with dodgy tyres and suspension and invisible in fog, it's fine!
    Remind me never to accept a lift from you!

    Chris - that pretty much sums it up! Nothing wrong with the engine though! (Apart from the lambda sensor!)

    So basically it is bulbs, a bit of spannering, exhaust wrap 2 tyres and a bush? A friend of mine has a Mk1 Fiesta which he drives daily. It had a failure sheet the year before last which was 22 pages long!

    22 pages!! That's impressive!
    Rear coils could be tricky though. I've just had a look at them, they don't even look big enough! And they are pink!
