Confused - if Clarkson was sacked, how did he get in the series for Japfest?

Japfest was filmed before he was sacked, they were editing the last 3 shows when it all happened.

    This is the 2014 Japfest.

Yeah this was from last year when we had all the rain. Its strange because this has taken them over a year to edit and put into an episode but when they came and filmed with us (was the episode where they put hammond out into the wilderness and then had to "find" him) it was filmed 3 weeks before it went out. Mind you blink and you would miss the bit they filmed with us.

Chris Evans has tweeted tonight -
First tweet as new Top Gear host. I would like to say Jeremy, Richard & James are the greatest. And NO I'm not leaving the R2 Breakfast Show

    Default Top Gear CANCELLED!

I spotted a message he'd signed for 3 years to be a presenter... Not sure if this is good or bad. Hopeful he has good producers and is kept inline.

Frankly I can't believe a word the liar says. Wouldn't surprise me if he left the radio 2 breakfast show next week! Personally I think it is the death of top gear, or at least the show most watch and love. Just because someone is a petrolhead doesn't make them a good car show presenter.

Also the final episodes seem to be on Sunday 28th June

I don't believe it's the death of Top Gear as so many are predicting.

Yes it's the end of an era, but all good things come to an end, eventually.

Top Gear was around, and I was watching it, well before Clarkson & co come on the scene and will continue long after they are gone.

The car is the real star of the show and is more important even than the combined brilliance of the 3 amigos.

I get fed up with the moronic trolls who comment on every Top Gear tweet that TG is dead, the BBC are cnuts and bring back Clarkson etc.

They seem to forget that this whole mess is Clarkson's own doing, he was the one who punched the producer and the BBC had no choice but to sack him, they are paid for by the licence payer and can't be seen to condone violence in the workplace.

Personally, looking forward to the new series to see what they do with it.

I'm interested to see what chris Evans does with it to be honest. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 amigo's started up their own show with sky or someone
