Great to finally meet guys, best japfest so far! Weather wasn't perfect but a some free track time at the start and some awesome drifting made up for it! See you soon, where next?

Nice catching up with some of you
Open diff and front wheel drive was no fun I honestly had no control on that mud where I went. still don't understand why they sent us that way rather than turn us right straight after the entrance. Was a great day though

oh and Russell there is always japshow. Need to be fast though as tickets close tonight. Either for the weekend ( drunken camping is always fun) or just the Sunday.

No such problem for me AWD for the win

Seriously tho, not the best way to send powerful, lowered cars. Not since there was actually a paved path to our spot. Still a good day tho

lol.. Yeah the mud, I nearly drop my toys!!! Not so much so at getting stuck but at the totally unsuitable ground on which some of the marshalling team thought it appropriate to send cars over in lieu of the roads/pathways servicing those same areas we needed to be.

They (Castle Combe) clearly had the pressure on from the boys in blue to keep the traffic flowing around the surrounding roads, which you can understand. But clearly some of the direction offered within the circuit grounds varied from mild confusion to outright couldn’t give a f###. Which was a pitty...

Our location, a departure from where HJC have been for many years, was ok and being elsewhere within the circuit grounds made a change. But considering we where 3 odd cars down in booked numbers due to various issues pre the day, there is no way the numbers booked for would have fitted in there. And to think I bothered to complete the required H&S forms to take the club gazebo, just where on earth was the floor space for that I ask myself. The forecasted weather with high winds meant I made the decision to leave it at home, had it being a more pleasant forecast I'd have lugged that all the way there and not been able to use it.

Tomorrow I will be emailing a letter to Japshow detailing these issues.

That all said though, good to see all who did make it along a good turnout for the club.

Had a great day despite the weather, didn't see too much of the other club members as I was busy purving at cars, buying stuff & watching the track action. Agree with the route across the muddy field we had to take, why? It took me ages to wash the mud out of the wheel arches. There was no way you could have fitted a gazebo on the stand either

Was such a shame to see Ryan and Julie crash, I went to seen Ryan after the first road and he said about how fast the track was!

Amazingly his car is already fixed and ready for his next competition
