Default Interest in track day at Keevil airfield

Hi all I'm looking into sorting a track day at Keevil airfield as a HJC trackday and if I'm going to do so I need to be armed with info as to how many would be interested.

There are 2 dates to choose from that have open pit lanes so lots of track time available

The price is 119 unless I can work something out hence needing your names.

Please post up (a list would be best) if you're interested and also whether Friday 16th September or Saturday 8th of October would be best please so I can begin making proper enquiries into this.

    Cheers

    Ryan

Not wishing to rock the boat but I would seriously consider spending a couple quid more and going to a proper track for a day out - they are SOOOOOO much better.

TrackCulture are pretty good guys and know their stuff - http://www.tctrackdays.com

Was thinking about doing an airfield day in october as I want some wet laps!

Could work out! i'd disagree with Ben, in that an airfield day can be a lot more fun as you have a lot less to hit!

See I would disagree with that statement!
Airfield days have nothing more than cones to dictate where you should be. Taking the straight-away at the airfield day we went to a couple years ago, there was traffic going down the runway, then traffic going back up it on the otherside with nothing more than a cone to indicate where the boundary was - a racetrack would have grass, runoff, and armco to stop any traffic careering into oncoming vehicles.

Seriously though, once you've driven on proper racetrack tarmac, you won't want to drive on anything else!

I totally totally agree with that comment, driving on a coned off runway really is nothing compared to an actual race track.

Ok well my theory on it is that if you wanted to go on a proper race track then feel free to put your name down and I'll see what else I can look into.

The point of the airfield is it's cheaper than a proper track so to speak and as said less to hit and also it's more local to us all as opposed to driving 4 or so hours to another track using more fuel when you could be enjoying yourself more.

Also it's 45 quid cheaper roughly before fuel than Brands for example and more local.

If you'd be interested in a proper track to to speak then still put your name down so I can gauge numbers still

    Thanks
