Default Changes to the Event Organiser Team

As the club grows we realise the current HJC Event Organisers team cannot keep up with the ever growing demands, so we are looking to expand/change the EO Team.

If you are willing to give up your spare time and would like to get involved then please PM telling me why you would be good for the role.

IT WILL TAKE UP PLENTY OF YOUR SPARE TIME TO ORGANISE AND ATTEND MEETS. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE UP YOUR TIME ON A REGULAR BASIS AND ATTEND AS MANY MEETS AS POSSIBLE (NATIONAL AND HJC ORGANISED) PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

We may also be looking to rotate to EOs on a regular basis so as to always bring in new ideas and a fresh look to the meets so if you do not get picked this time you may do so in the future. This also means that if you do not perform well as a EO you may lose your position on the Team on the next rotation.

We will give PRIORITY TO PAID MEMBERS on this but please do not let it put you off if you are not a paid member (you can always pay up at any time in the club shop. ) The reason for this is that paid members are more likely to be more deeply involved with the club already and it is another benefit for being a paid member.

This thread is a part copy of the PM which has gone out to all members so if you would like to discuss or ask any questions you can do so in this thread.

We looking forward to welcoming some of you to the HJC Team shortly.

    Regards,
    Chris, Dave and The Team.

If you have applied for this in the past then please re-apply now so that we know you are still interested. Thank you.

Congratulations to Ed Greer as the latest new member of the Event Organisers Team.

Unfortunately due to current personal circumstances Cannon, Alfie and Mark have taken the decision to step down from the role, but we would like to thank them all for their work on the Team to date, hopefully we can welcome them back in the future when they have the time to spare.

If you would also like to step up and help out Ed, Bug and the Admin Team with organising great HJC meets and events then please contact me via PM.

We are looking for more members from West Hampshire to apply so that we can organise more meets that way, if you are interested please PM me as we are going to be making a decision very soon.

Everyone has their own ideas of what they like to do and what we should do as a club, these events take time and effort to organise so we need more help from the members, as the club grows so do the expectations of the numbers of meets for us to attend and this is just not possible without more help and input from the members themselves.

Organising the monthly meets can be great fun and very rewarding when they work well, but we also need more members on the Team who wish to attend the many National meets.

We really need a Team member at every meet if we are to take club banners etc. Whilst at Trax this year Will witnessed a club tent being blown along hitting (and no doubt damaging) other cars. If this happened at a meet with our banner we are currently uninsured (something I am currently looking into but again another cost to the club) so we cannot risk allowing a member to take a banner and potentially risk a claim, I am sure the members themselves would not take full responsibility for any claim against the club?

It is for this reason that we need more Team members to attend these meets and to ensure that, not only is the club well represented, but any risk is minimised as they are fully aware of the consequences.

So please, if you have the time and would like to get involved, step forward and apply for a place on the Team, a nice Admin shirt awaits you.

Unfortunately due to various factors we are to lose one highly regarded member of the EO Team, so are on the hunt for a replacement(s).

If you would like to be considered for the position please PM me or Dave (SpamPanther) telling us why you would like to get involved.
