Default Car handling day - 30th October

    Hi all,

I have arranged that a few of us from HJC can go on the car handling day which is being organised by Hondas-on-Track.

Let me know if you'd like to come along.

Car Activity Day Friday 30th October 2009

Car Activity Fun Day North Weald 30th October 2009

    North Weald Activity Day
    Friday 30th October 2009

Come and have a play on one of Car Limits hugely popular activity days at North Weald, Essex.

WE HAVE SECURED A TWO AREA DAY AND THE SLALOM IS BACK

A safe fun activity day which will include slalom course and mini circuits to play on. Have fun on the high speed bend, slalom course & circuits.

Increase your driving ability & have a laugh.

A great chance to come and test your skills in a safe environment with experts on hand!

    No noise limits!
    No helmets required!

Only one car on each activity at a time so very safe!

    ITINERARY
    08.30am
Your meeting point will be at the Airfield. There will be only 1 gate open on the day, next to the Air Traffic Control Tower. The person on the gate will direct you to where you will need to be. You will need to bring your licence with you on the day. You will then be given a safety briefing by your instructor.

    9.30am - 4.00pm
A large group day with a number of tests for the car including High speed bend.
    A blast down the staight.
    Slalom.
    Small circuit.
    manovering section.
    braking section.

Lunch will be approx. between 12.00 and 1.00

    DIRECTIONS
North Weald Airfield is off Junction 7 on the M11. Follow the signs for North Weald Market and this will take you straight to the airfield. There will be only 1 gate open on the day, next to the Air Traffic Control Tower.
The person on the gate will direct you to where you will need to be.

For people travelling a little distance how about staying over at a Travelodge the night before, there are a couple very close to the airfield (Approx. 2 and 6 miles):

    http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/hotel_overview.php?hotel_id=268

You will need to bring your driving licence with you on the day. There is no need for the use of helmets and there are food facilities located within the airfield. The day will begin at 9.00am and finish at approximately 4.00pm.
Spectators are allowed onto the airfield but there are no facilities for them to sit and watch

Plenty of fun to be had for just 47 (add 3 if you want Kai to book it for you. Paypal Kai direct is easiest)

Kai do you know how many people are attending this one? The Evo guys booked it for 15 people I think which was a good size, if too many people go it might be a bit slow as a lot of it is done one person on the track at a time.

Sounds a bit lame at first but it gives you car time to cool down in between runs and chat to people and discuss tips and ideas for your next go.

I probably wont be able to do this and the other track day so I personally will prioritise this just because it was so fun and it will be great to compare the SX against how the Evo handled

Kai - I will send you payment for this at end of month if thats cool ?

There are a maximum of 25, I think.
As yet, though, we are only at 7.... plus any from here, so I don't think it'll be too busy.
Remember it's only 50, so it's unfair to expect all day track time, but I know what you're saying.

It'll be fun, rain or shine.

As with all these things, it's first come first served.

Contact me directly (pm) and I can book it for you, ok?

    Cheers for now,

    Kai
